Flora is a French photographer based in Paris. She has numerous exhibits to her credit, in France and in Italy.

The invisible, what links us to others, to nature, to what is most profound in ourselves and to what lies beyond it. Flora seizes that reality in the private, in silent presences, in expanses, in suspended time. She seeks the movement of life in the looming up of images, in perturbance. Self-portraits, journeys – her approach is autobiographical, the only pathway to achieving and revealing a perceptible truth.
RESIDENCY PROJECT IN THE GASPÉ IN 2013: “LE GEL” (ICE)
Flora’s artistic research project in photography took place in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
The exploration of an area, an intimate experience with a landscape, a fiction. In winter. The shadows of women, those who lived and live here, slip to the end of the empty wharves, among the trunks of dark forests, to the middle of deserted streets, among stretched white sheets, into the frames of narrow windows. Be silent, see the wind sweep the horizon, feel the ice resonate in oneself, be fascinated, and let it overwhelm me.
PROJET DE RÉSIDENCE EN GASPÉSIE EN 2013 : LE GEL
Ce projet de recherche artistique photographique a été effectué dans le golfe du Saint-Laurent.
L’exploration d’un territoire, une expérience intime avec un paysage, une fiction. En hiver. Les ombres des femmes qui vécurent et vivent ici glissent au bout des quais vides, entre les troncs des forêts sombres, au milieu des rues désertes, entre les draps blancs étendus, dans l’embrasure des fenêtres étroites. Se taire, voir le vent balayer l’horizon, sentir le gel résonner en soi, être fascinée, et le laisser me submerger.
La restitution du projet « Le gel » sera effectuée en 2014 dans le cadre de la 5e édition des Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gaspésie et des Promenades photographiques de Vendôme (France).
